So fresh and so clean, clean...

So we have finally made it to Amsterdam. After a sleepless nine hour flight we wandered around Copenhagen anxiously awaiting our 15 hour train ride to Amsterdam (it shouldn't have taken that long but our train was routed through Munich...look at a map if that means nothing to you). For those of you that are geographically challenged, that's like going to Boise via San Francisco.

The ticket-checker lady on the train was very nice. After basically calling us stupid Americans, she told us how happy she was that Barack Obama was elected President (we agreed, of course) and then proceeded to warn us not to take coke. We were happy to find ourselves alone is a six-seat car and were able to stretch out until around midnight a nice German man busted in and forced us to let him have his seat and we had to sleep in the fetal position. He did, however, give us a "Happy welcome to Germany!", which was very nice.

We got into Amsterdam this morning around 10:00am, checked into our hostel and then had omelettes and the best tasting cappuccinos ever at a little cafe that sells antiques and allows cats to sleep wherever they want. We did a little wandering around and then, finally, after over 48 hours without a shower, we are now fresh, clean, in new outfits, and ready to explore the city.
